Figure of 8 Dance Collective’s WAG Waiting returns to the Baxter Golden Arrow Studio from Wednesday November 27 to Saturday December 7.

The award-winning dance and choreography duo Grant van Ster and Shaun Oelf, established Figure of 8 Dance Collective in 2014.

With this latest dance production, the company explores the concept of waiting and begs the questions, “How long should one wait, what are we waiting for, and what happens with time as we wait?”

“Each and every one of us is confronted by the various stages of waiting at some point in our lives,” says Van Ster.

“People handle and respond to situations differently. In today’s fast-paced and highly charged world, waiting also teaches us patience and in some cases, tolerance. However, waiting can often lead to stress, a cartwheel of emotions and exhausting situations, that we bring upon ourselves. If we stood still for a moment, waiting, we could also find joy.”

Joining Grant and Shaun on stage for this production are Dustin Jannetjies and Gabriela Dirkse.

Tickets cost R100, R80 for students, pensioners and block bookings of 10 or more and R50 for school block bookings. Book through Webtickets.
