Queen’s Plate

Bedecked in blue and white, Kenilworth Racecourse once again played host to the 158th LOrmarins Queens Plate Racing Festival, which treated local and international guests to two days of luxury, fashion and horseracing. The two-day event on Friday and Saturday January 4 and 5 attracted over 5 000 attendees. Guests included Springboks Siya Kolisi and Steven Kitshoff, Miss South Africa Tamaryn Green, actress Nomzamo Mbatha, skateboarding star Jean-marc Johannes, actress Enhle Mbali-Maphumolo and DJs Sphectacular and Naves. Vodacom Durban July winner, Do It Again, took the R 1.5 million LOrmarins Queens Plate (Grade 1) purse. Pictured are Ziphozakhe Zokufa and Jolie Bashala from Green Point.
