Mia and Roy Kapoor seem to have a perfect life in London. They are young, doing well in their chosen careers and happily married.

Mia is a perfectionist, who works in fashion, while Roy is a travel writer.

Mia tries to be everything to her husband. That is until Roy starts having an affair with a junior co-worker.

Mia finds out and her whole world is turned upside down. She has always believed in the sanctity of marriage so she decides to fix things because the thought of walking away scares her. Roy ends the affair, but quickly gets into another one.

However, when the ex-girlfriend is murdered, Roy is the prime suspect and is arrested. There’s overwhelming evidence against him. Mia loses her job and their lives start to unravel. They are forced to come face to face with their dark secrets.

And then comes the biggest twist to the murder saga. The woman scorned, Mia, is the only one who can save her adulterous husband, but will she do it?

This psychological thriller is brilliantly written. It’s Trisha Sakhlecha’s debut novel and yet she writes with much sensitivity and eloquence. She takes the reader on a journey about love, Indian weddings and gender-based violence.
