■ The South African premiere of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time will reopen the newly refurbished Theatre On The Bay, on Saturday September 22. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is based on a 2003 mystery novel by British writer Mark Haddon. The novel is narrated in the first-person by Christopher John Francis Boone, a 15-year-old boy who describes himself as “a mathematician with some behavioural difficulties” living in Swindon, Wiltshire. Although Christopher’s condition is not stated, it could be Asperger syndrome, high-functioning autism, or savant syndrome. The play will run until Saturday November 3. Tickets cost from R140 to R240. Book through Computicket or Theatre On The Bay’s box office on 021 438 3301.
