The City of Cape Town’s Water and Sanitation Department, alongside the Health Department, is investigating complaints of an unusual smell/taste of municipal tap water along the Atlantic Seaboard.
Residents say the water has an earthy/metallic character.
Residents of the Camps Bay, Sea Point and Fresnaye areas are advised to refrain from drinking tap water until further notice.
Initial results from water samples taken in the investigation should be available by Thursday April 29.
