The Banks Youth Day cook-off which took place at The Point shopping mall in Sea Point on Friday June 16, saw three young aspiring chefs going head to head in making the best meal. In the end it was Mathew Suter, 14, a pupil at Westerford High School who took the winning prize with his creative dish. The runner-up winner was Danae’ Klue, 16, from Table View High School and third place winner was Savannah da Silva, 17, from Reddam House Atlantic Seaboard, pictured, who all walked away with state of the art culinary equipment from The Banks kitchen boutique.
