The Exclusive Books launch of Pieter-Louis Myburgh’s book, Gangster State, has been rescheduled and will now take place at the V&A Waterfront Amphitheatre on Wednesday,  April 17 from 6:30pm.

This was after the initial launch was cancelled last week.

Exclusive Books cited concerns over security following disruptions in Johannesburg.

The launch in Sandton City, made headlines after a group of protesters wearing ANC T-shirts, stormed the venue and teared up copies of the controversial book.
The ANC and party secretary general Ace Magashule, who is implicated in the book, have since distanced themselves from the incident and called on their members to respect freedom of speech.

Yesterday, Unite Behind held a book reading outside the Iziko Museum Slave Lodge in support of freedom of expression.
