Drawing inspiration from the nationwide lockdown, Gardens resident, Razia Myers, has painted a series of pieces that express the effect of the life-changing experience lockdown. Working on large-scale canvasses, Ms Myers produced a series of nine abstract paintings that journey through the different phases of lockdown. Best known for painting nudes and portraits, Ms Myers found that she needed to find a way of releasing the myriad emotions she was feeling and began to delve into abstract expressionism.Ms Myers said she drew energy and inspiration from the ocean to release her emotions and revitalise her spirit.
