Cape Town Central police arrested a 30-year-old man for fraud in Hope Street, Gardens, on Thursday July 2, at about 10pm.
He had been driving a black vehicle that had temporary number plates which were forged.
He was detained at Cape Town Central police station and was due to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s
Court.
The Cape Town Central Crime Prevention Unit and shift members conducted various crime intelligence operations with various security stakeholders this past week. They arrested 17 people for being in possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R22 800.
