The Bo- Kaap Civic Association, the City’s Recreation and Parks department and South African Police Service are currently running a holiday programme for Bo-Kaap children. The initiative started with a truancy programme organised by Sumaya Ramjam last year, and also includes the family strengthening programme, which looks at family relationships at home, teaching children values such as respect, humility and communication
