Readathon

Sea Point Primary School dancers showing off their skills at the John Ince Hall on Friday May 3.

Sea Point Primary School held its annual readathon fund-raiser with the  theme of books that are movies. Classes chose a book to use as their class theme. Classroom doors were decorated to the theme and a character dress-up day, a spelling bee competition and general knowledge quiz were held, as well as library challenges throughout the week. The Foundation Phase reading picnic was well attended by parents sharing their love for reading with the pupils. The Help the Rural Child book shop was also at the school for two days while authors Penny Haw and Helen Niven visited the school to talk about their books.
