Police still do not know if the remains found on Camps Bay Beach two weeks ago are human.
Station Commander, Captain Keith Chandler said police are waiting for the lab report before the investigation can continue.
The remains, which consisted of internal organs, were found on the beach on Thursday May 11 and the scientific/biological unit were called in for forensic analysis, Captain Chandler said.
“Our officers on the scene alerted the scientific/biological unit, who arrived and collected the parts. At this point, we’re waiting for the lab report before proceeding with the police investigation,” said Captain Keith Chandler.
