■ Jubilation filled the air at Good Hope Seminary High School, when 45 ex-pupils – all women – gathered at the school on Friday afternoon March 2 to celebrate a 50-year reunion of their matric year which was 1967 and 1968. The women came from all over – Durban, Johannesburg, America, Australia and the United Kingdom. They were taken on a tour of the school by the current leadership team and were thrilled to see their old classrooms looking as they did 50 years ago. They then gathered in the school hall for a welcome address, sang the school song and were addressed by the acting principal Leon Linz, who updated them on the present status of the school. This was followed by tea, served by the girls of the Interact team.
