St Cyprians hosted their biennial spring ball, a much anticipated fixture on the school calendar, at Tsogo Sun’s Cape Sun Hotel, on Saturday August 27.
The Oranjezicht school sold just over 350 tickets to the lavish event, which brought together parents and members of the school community to enjoy a night of entertainment and auctioning, all in the name of fundraising. By the end of the night, the school had raised a whopping R1.2 million, exceeding all expectations.
Entertainment included com-edian Nik Rabinowitz, pop group Freshlyground and DJ Ozzie.
Guests were also introduced to the vocal talent of several St Cyprian’s pupils such as Emma-Rose Blacher, (Annie in the current production) Lorena Marais and Lia Schwendinger (Sandy in Grease) who took to the stage before handing over to the St Cyprian’s School Jazz Band.
