Sea Point Old Boys celebrate 60th reunion

A group of men who matriculated in 1962 got together for their 60th reunion at the Oceana Power Boat Club on Monday.

They were joined via Zoom by classmates who live in America, Canada, Israel and different parts of Australia.

“There were three guys that cancelled this morning so there should have been more of us. We had three classes in matric and there were about 60 of us, but this is a good turnout as we have lost contact some of the guys,” said Harold Garb, one of the organisers of the reunion.

Seated, from left, are Michael Purcell, Harold Garb, Harold Berman, Frank Nielsen and Malcolm Marrison. Standing in the middle are, from left, Kaare James, Gerald Groll, Gerald Kann, Victor Morris, Geoffrey Edwards and Douglas Benson; and at the back are Cedric Keet and Graham Paulson.
