Synagogue catches fire

An investigation is under way after the Beit Midrash Morasha synagogue in Arthurs Road, Sea Point caught fire last night.

Just before 11pm last night the Fire and Rescue Services responded to the incident. 

Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson Theo Layne said: “Twenty-two firefighters, four fire engines and one rescue vehicle responded to the incident. No injuries were reported.”

The cause of the fire remains unknown.
