The ‘people’s march’

At least a 100 people took part in the march the day before MPs were to vote on a motion of no confidence in President Jacob Zuma.

Unite Behind marched to Parliament on Monday August 7 in what they called the “people’s march”. The march took place the day before the vote of no confidence in Parliament and people at the march called on MPs to “do the right thing” and for the ANC to recall President Jacob Zuma. Unite Behind comprises over 20 community, activist and faith-based movements.
