Women Zone book club welcomed writer, publisher and literary critic, Karina Szczurek, who was in conversation with Joy Watson about her recently published novel, The Other Me.

Women Zone book club welcomed writer, publisher and literary critic, Karina Szczurek, at its most recent WZ Library Hub.

Held on the second Saturday of the month at Artscape when, the event on Saturday July 9, featured Ms Szczurek was in conversation with Joy Watson about her recently published novel, The Other Me, which has been described as funny, dark, complex and heart-breaking.

The Woman Zone Library is hub for a meeting, work, shopping, sharing space that hosts book launches, panel discussions, story sharing, informal gatherings, writing and poetry workshops, tributes, presentations and various speakers.

After the meeting, the WZ library was open for borrowing and returning of some of their more than 1 000 books collected and donated over the years.

The next meeting will be held at the Innovation Lounge, 2nd Floor, Artscape, next to the opera bar, on Saturday August 13, from 2pm to 4pm, with guest author Gertrude Fester. A donation of R30 covers the cost of refreshments.
