Mo’jiza and Alix each won a silver medal for contemporary dance, sisters Lakeesah and Lashay Marcus a silver medal for their duet. Luca and Mo’jiza were also ballet finalists and, along with Alix, finished in the top six in the contemporary dance section.
Considered the largest ballet competition on the continent and recognised as Africa’s finest and most established ballet event of its kind, the SAIBC attracts dancers of the highest calibre from South Africa and across the globe.
This year jury members from China, Canada, South Korea, Switzerland, South Africa, Belgium, and America officiated at the event.
