SK crowned Super League B champions

It’s official, SK Walmer are Western Province Rugby Football Union (WPRFU) Super League B champions and newly-promoted Super League A contenders. The Bo-Kaap side beat CPUT 31-12 in their final play-off match, at City Park, at the weekend, rounding off what will go down as a memorable season in the club’s history. Although sitting on top of the log in the latter part of the season, the Bo-Kaap boys still needed to qualify for a spot in the play-offs. Their 18-0 win against Primrose earlier this month was enough to see them through. Last week they beat Hands& Heart 50-7 in the semi-finals, also at City Park, to book their spot in the weekend’s finals. The rest as they say, is history.
