A man has died from critical injuries he suffered after crashing into Lion’s Head while paragliding last week.
According to ER 24 spokesman Russel Meiring, the man, believed to be in his 40s, was airlifted to Groote Schuur Hospital on Tuesday afternoon January 10 after crashing into Lion’s Head while paragliding.
Rescue services found him wedged between two large rocks and being cared for by bystanders shortly after 2pm.
Western Cape Department of Health spokesperson Maret Lesch confirmed the man had succumbed to his injuries.
