Duo arrested for theft from motor vehicle in Tamboerskloof

Two men were caught allegedly trying to steal from a parked vehicle.
Two suspects were arrested in connection with alleged theft from motor vehicles in Tamboerskloof on Monday September 17.

ADT officers received a report of suspects who were allegedly fiddling with parked cars in Hillside Road and went to investigate.

Cape Town South district manager at Fidelity ADT, Jade Hanning, said, “When our officer arrived in the street, he noticed two suspects standing next to a car and it appeared that its window had been smashed. When they noticed our officer, they tried to run away down Kloof Street, but he pursued them and successfully apprehended them.”

Back-up soon arrived. Both suspects were searched and items were found in their possession which they could not account for.

SAPS took the two suspects into custody on charges of theft out of motor vehicle.

Mr Hanning urged residents not to leave any valuable items in their parked cars at night.
