A multi-cultural circus cabaret extravaganza, Trash Cabaret, which features artists and performers from around the world, will be at Hillcrest Quarry in Durbanville, on Saturday May 14.
Guest bands include the Nomadic Orchestra and performances by members of Ann Jangle and Crimson House. Some of the participating acts include Black Orchid Burlesque that offers a variety of genres ranging from Traditional Classic Burlesque to what is now commonly known as Neo-Burlesque or Caburlesque.
Trash Cabaret will also feature the ActionArte Foundation SA, a non-profit organisation based in Hanover Park.
Its objective is to explore circus as a launch pad for physical and playful activities that can provide a safe place for kids outside of the realities of daily life. Doors open at 4pm, with activities starting at 6pm and the main show at 8pm. Tickets are R120 each if you pre-book on Quicket, or R150 at the door.
