As from today, the City of Cape Town will only accept online submissions of building plan and land use applications.
City officials have been prepared and trained to ensure the transition happens as efficiently as possible.
Mayoral committee member for spatial planning and environment, Marian Nieuwoudt, said: “We must embrace the digital information age and the advantages that this technology offers us to become a smarter, faster and a more forward-thinking and competitive City.”
Some of the benefits for the new system are that submissions can be made 24/7, from anywhere in the world.
The department, along with officials from the City’s Revenue Office, will host an e-Services registration drive on Thursday July 5.
Those interested must contact the department at Planning.BuildingManagement@capetown.gov.za to secure their spot.
