In memory of Leonard Cohen

■ Leonard Cohen fans Janet Kriseman and Gilard Stern will host a communal singalong in memory of the singer at the German Club ballroom, 6 Roodhek Terrace, 105B Hope Street, on Sunday December 11, from 6pm until 7pm. Accompanied by two guitarists, everyone attending the event will join in and sing some of Leonard Cohen’s favourites, including Suzanne and Halleluyah. Tea and oranges will be served, and there will be a cash bar. Parking will be available at the venue, and in Hope Street nearby. Proceeds will be donated to the UCT Music School for a needy student.
