Mandela Day celebrations

On Mandela Day, which is celebrated annually on July 18 – Nelson Mandela’s birthday – people are encouraged to spend 67 minutes of their time in service of their community.To mark the day, the Sea Point Rotary Club along with local businesses held a street festival in Sea Point on Sunday July 17. The Amy Biehl Foundation Marimba Band and dancers entertained the crowds on the day and were given lunch as well as other gifts.
