I refer to the article “Skateboard signs erected” (Atlantic Sun, April 28). The directions guiding the flow of traffic will certainly improve the situation created by skateboarders mingling with vehicles but how ironic that the wording on the signage states that it is the vehicles that must enter the parking area at their own risk. Surely the skateboarders should likewise be entering at their own risk, especially when considering that this parking area has been there long before skateboarding was introduced by the City of Cape Town.
