The Vineyard Hotel in Newlands is celebrating Mother’s Day with a special three-course lunch menu priced at R415 each.
But if you’re not able to spoil mum on Mother’s Day, you can treat her to one of the Vineyard’s series of wine-paired dinners.
This year, they are honoring Lady Ann Barnard and the journey she took around the Cape by taking wines from farms along the route and pairing it with delicious dishes.
The wine-paired dinners are held twice a month, focusing on a particular wine estate, a wine district or group of wine growers.
Before each, the chosen wines are tasted
with an array of ingredients, and the combinations that best complement each other are assessed.
The Vineyard’s chefs then create a delectable menu around these ingredients.
