Sea Point SAPS arrested a 32-year-old man in the early hours of Saturday, October 22, for being in possession of 10 mandrax tablets.
Spokesperson Captain Cyril Dicks said while on patrol in Regent Road officers spotted two men walking in the direction of Camps Bay at 3.20am.
“As the vehicle approached the men they started walking faster, as if staring to run. The member’s then managed to stop the one male carrying the boom box. They then continued to search the male and found 10 mandrax tablets in his possession. He was arrested and charged with dealing in drugs.”
Captain Dicks says that the man appeared in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Monday, October 24.
