The Nozomi organisation NPO together with the City of Cape Town’s social development department entertained senior citizens from the Bo-Kaap at the Green Point Urban Park last Thursday.
“The City’s social development reached out to us about entertaining the senior citizens of the Bo-Kaap. So we decided to go to Green Point to host the elderly folks, the City provided staff and lunch to assist us,” said Erefaan Ramjam, the chairman of the Nozomi organisation.
“The oldest person is 82 years old and the youngest is 56. There were 34 people and they thoroughly enjoyed it as they played team building games. We plan to do this once a month so we will do this again next year. Our aim is to bring people together and for them to learn and enjoy themselves on these excursions,” he said.
