Tamboerskloof author Ted Botha launched his book Daisy de Melker: Hiding Among Killers in the City of Gold, at the Book Lounge on Wednesday May 17. Published by Jonathan Ball, the story takes the reader on a journey through Johannesburg in the 1920s and 1930s and tells the story of Daisy de Melker who was hanged for killing her son. She is also suspected of having poisoned two husbands for their life-insurance money.
